Overview
LSAC's mission is to advance law and justice by promoting access, equity, and fairness in law school admission and supporting the learning journey from prelaw through practice.
Pay rate: $105,000 to $118,000 per year, depending on experience
We are looking for an outstanding Product Manager to join our team and help us bring an amazing experience to our customers. Specifically, you will be responsible for the oversight and advancement of LSAC's offerings. LSAC aims to create an experience that is engaging, personalized and supportive to prospective law school applicants by providing each user with relevant content, services, connections, and information at every step of their journey.
This role focuses on supporting and building innovative new products with a superior design. Your ability to be a team player, research, be creative, communicate, build relationships, display grit, lead, and listen will determine the future of LSAC's offerings. This is an interdisciplinary role, and you will work with other Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Solution Architects, Development Team members, as well as the Product Marketing and Business Development teams to deliver an amazing, world-class product experience that our users love!
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions

  • Understand the vision and mission of LSAC's offerings and advocate passionately for delivering an experience that delivers on our mission and delights our users at every step of their journey
  • In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, research and collect feedback providing a deep understanding of the user's desired experience across the journey
  • Working with other Product Managers, develop a holistic view of the user journey while also gaining an understanding of the touch points at individual stages of the journey to ensure that the experience meets the needs at each stage
  • Work with UI/UX designers and product marketing team members to design and brand the experience
  • Translate the desired experience into roadmap items, features and actionable user stories prioritized based on value to the user and desirable outcomes
  • Lead a cross-functional team - composed of designers, engineers, testers, and other stakeholders - to build and iterate over the release and continuous improvement of the user experience.
  • Keep up to date on industry standards, UI/UX design standards and innovations, competitive products, and new capabilities to help inform your product roadmap.
  • Evangelize the vision for LSAC's offerings.
  • Provide demonstrations and presentations of products and the experience throughout the journey to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications
Competencies
  • Understand accessibility compliance and standards guidelines
  • Passion for the education space (preferably legal education) and providing a more personalized experience at every stage of the individual's journey
  • Familiarity or prior working experience with utilization of recommendation algorithms / systems to present relevant content to end user
  • Knowledge of and working experience with Agile methods and principles preferably KanBan
  • Experience analyzing customer feedback, user research, engagement data and performance data to guide and inform the product roadmap
  • Outstanding communication, relationship, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Creative thinker with a vision
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Background in EdTech or admissions with at least 3 years of product management experience, preferably of digital learning platform/application, content management system (CMS), and/or learning management system (LMS)
  • Experience working with stakeholders at varying levels
  • Experience launching new products and technologies.
  • Experience working within startups
  • Experience leading an autonomous product team
  • Experience in an agile product development environment preferably Kanban

Supervisory Responsibilities
This role does not have people management responsibilities.
Position Type
This is a full-time position. The LSAC standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. ET. While these are the standard office hours for LSAC, as an exempt employee, the employee will be expected to work the hours necessary to satisfactorily complete their assignments in a responsible and professional manner.
Work Environment
This job operates in a remote and professional office environment. Whether remote or in-office, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and collaboration tooling.
Travel Requirements
Up to 3% of travel is expected for this position.
