What is a Livery job?

A livery job typically involves transporting passengers or goods in a for-hire vehicle, such as a taxi, limousine, or chauffeur service. Drivers in livery services may work independently or for a company, providing scheduled or on-demand rides. Unlike traditional taxis, livery vehicles often require pre-arranged bookings. Livery drivers must have the appropriate licenses and follow local regulations. This job can involve long hours, customer service skills, and knowledge of efficient routes.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Livery position, and why are they important?

To thrive in a livery position, you need strong animal care skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of horse handling and stable management. Familiarity with stable maintenance equipment, feeding systems, and occasionally record-keeping software is often expected. Dependability, strong work ethic, and effective communication are standout soft skills in this role. These qualities ensure the animals' wellbeing, smooth stable operations, and positive relationships with clients and team members.

What does a typical day look like for someone working in livery services?

A typical day in a livery position involves a mix of hands-on animal care—such as feeding, grooming, and turning out horses—and tasks like mucking out stalls, cleaning tack, and maintaining the stable environment. You may also interact with horse owners, assist with arranging veterinary or farrier visits, and help keep accurate records of each animal’s needs. Depending on the size of the facility, you may work independently or as part of a small team. The work can be physically demanding and requires a consistent routine, but it's also highly rewarding for those passionate about horses and their wellbeing. Collaboration is key, especially during busy periods or when responding to unexpected animal care needs.

Come be a part of something bigger than just a job-build your career with an employee-owned company that invests in you!
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role serves as the technical bridge between creative livery design and production execution, transforming conceptual artwork into precise 3D CATIA geometry, digital mylars, and technical drawings that meet the requirements of aircraft paint application. The position is responsible for owning assigned deliverables from start to finish-ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Teague's quality standards. Collaboration is central to the work, with regular interaction across design, engineering, and external partners to interpret design intent, verify feasibility, and maintain clear communication throughout the production lifecycle.
In addition to day-to-day CAD development, this role contributes to continuous improvement by participating in workflow discussions, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, and applying thoughtful problem-solving to technical challenges involving geometry, scale, or application methods. The position supports production reviews, maintains organized and compliant documentation, and may require periodic travel or onsite presence to engage with clients, partner teams, and key project milestones. Overall, the role combines creativity, precision, and hands-on technical work to support the successful delivery of aircraft livery and paint-production programs.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
This role requires periodic domestic travel as needed to support project work.
WHO YOU ARE:
You're a technically minded designer who thrives in a hands-on, iterative environment where accuracy, teamwork, and adaptability are essential. With experience in CATIA or similar 3D systems, you excel at translating creative concepts into precise, production-ready CAD deliverables. You balance design intent with engineering feasibility, anticipate challenges, and communicate clearly to keep projects aligned and on track.
Curious by nature, you're motivated to deepen your technical expertise and proactive in learning new tools, workflows, and aircraft-specific details. You bring strong attention to detail, solid organizational habits, and a collaborative mindset, and you're comfortable supporting in-person work and occasional travel to ensure high-quality outcomes. If you enjoy turning creative livery ideas into accurate technical results, this role is a strong match for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
OWNING
  • Support the translation of creative livery concepts into accurate CATIA design files that are production-ready.
  • Take ownership of assigned project deliverables, ensuring precision, consistency, and on-time completion.
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners to confirm expectations and resolve questions.
  • Uphold Teague's standards of professionalism, collaboration, and reliability while maintaining strong working relationships across disciplines.

THINKING
  • Interpret creative design data and anticipate potential challenges related to geometry, scale, or paint application.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving to balance creative vision with production feasibility.
  • Participate in team discussions to improve processes, tool use, and workflow efficiency.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and initiative in learning new technical approaches, workflows, and aircraft-specific details.

DOING
  • Create and modify 3D CATIA geometry, digital mylars, and technical drawings that support aircraft paint application.
  • Translate 2D artwork into accurate 3D layouts while ensuring alignment with design intent and engineering references.
  • Collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and vendors to coordinate deliverables and confirm technical accuracy.
  • Support production reviews as needed, assisting in verifying that final paint layouts match approved designs.
  • Maintain organized files, data accuracy, and adherence to Teague's documentation and retention standards.

WHAT YOU BRING:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Drafting, Mechanical Design, Aerospace Technology, Engineering Graphics, or Computer-Aided Design (CAD) - or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1-4+ years of experience working in CATIA V5 or similar 3D CAD systems, ideally in aerospace, automotive, or large-scale surface modeling environments.
  • Strong understanding of geometric accuracy, data structure, and 3D-to-2D translation principles.
  • Experience working with Product Data Management (PDM) systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office for visualization, documentation, and communication tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational habits, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow technical fluency in aircraft livery and paint-production workflows.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally for production support
  • Due to regulatory requirements tied to the nature of our client work, this position is limited to U.S. persons.
