Residential Manager Live-In 

Who Are We:

InReach provides a wide variety of supports and services across the lifespan for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families. We focus on each individual's unique needs and deliver the highest quality services possible by ensuring that each individual receives the right support, at the right time and frequency by a caring qualified staff member in the most independent setting appropriate.

What We Need:

InReach is looking for someone willing to fill a live-in position at one of our Residential Homes located in the Charlotte, Mecklenburg County area of North Carolina. The Residential Manager will provide support and supervision for 2-6 individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities at a time, in a residential home setting. The Residential Manager provides our residents with the training needed to help them care for themselves in cooking, housekeeping, leisure time, and routine health care. The Residential Manager also supervises 3-4 other part-time staff working at the house. 

Additional Duties Include:

  • Overseeing the residential home budget.
  • Weekly menu planning.
  • Grocery shopping.
  • Providing transportation.
  • Overseeing healthcare.
  • Planning recreational activities.
  • Reporting maintenance requests.

Qualifications and Licensing Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • 6 months of direct experience working with individuals with disabilities required. (paid or volunteer)
  • Prior group home and 6 months of supervisory experience preferred; ALL experience must be verifiable.
  • Valid driver's license and a maintained safe driving record.
  • Ability to perform essential job duties, physical tasks, and mental tasks.

The position is live-in; therefore, the Residential Manager position includes free room and board. It does require overnight stays at the home Sunday night through Thursday night. The candidate for this position must be willing to use the residential home address as the residential address on their driver's license. The typical work week is 60-70 hours.

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: Monday - Thursday (6am-12pm & 4pm-10pm) Friday (6am-6pm) Sunday (6pm-10pm); hours can fluctuate based on needs

Location: Charlotte, 28270 and surrounding areas

Rate: $50k to $60k per year

Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 sign-on bonus payable in three installments: $500 after completion of training, $500 after 6 months, and $1,000 at 12 months.
