Position OverviewTNCR Property Management is seeking a full-time Property Manager Assistant with prior property management experience to support our day-to-day operations. This role is critical to maintaining clear communication between tenants, vendors, owners, and internal team members, while ensuring compliance with California housing laws and Fair Housing regulations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, bilingual (English/Spanish), tech-savvy, and comfortable balancing office responsibilities with field work, including showings and inspections.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative & Office SupportAssist Property Managers with daily operational tasks
Communicate professionally with tenants, owners, and vendors via phone, email, and property management software
Log, track, and follow up on maintenance requests and work orders
Maintain accurate property records, notes, and documentation
Support leasing, maintenance, and accounting coordination
Property Management Software
Utilize AppFolio for:Tenant and owner communications
Work order management
Inspection documentationLease files and property records
Leasing & ShowingsSchedule and conduct property showings for vacant units
Communicate rental criteria consistently and in compliance with Fair Housing laws
Assist with application coordination and move-in scheduling
Inspections
Conduct and document:Move-in inspections
Move-out inspections
Routine inspections
Drive-by inspectionsUpload photos, notes, and reports accurately and timely
Identify maintenance issues and report findings to Property Management
Vendor CoordinationCoordinate access for vendors and contractors
Follow up on job completion and timelines
Communicate professionally and document vendor interactions
Required QualificationsPrior experience in property management (required)
Full-time availabilityBilingual: English & Spanish (required)
Familiarity with AppFolio or similar property management software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Valid California Driverโs License with reliable transportation
Comfortable conducting property showings and inspections in the field
Basic understanding of maintenance coordination and leasing workflows
Compliance & Legal RequirementsKnowledge of and ability to operate within:California Housing LawCalifornia Civil Code related to landlord-tenant relations
Federal & State Fair Housing Laws
Ability to treat all applicants, tenants, and vendors fairly, consistently, and without discrimination
Authorized and approved to work legally in the State of California
