Personal Care Attendant Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and service-oriented personal care attendant to join our team and provide necessary assistance to our clients. In this role, you will work closely with our clients to help them with various daily responsibilities, provide a sense of companionship, and improve their overall quality of life.

Personal Care Attendant Duties and Responsibilities

• Visit CLIENTS in the comfort of their homes to provide assistance

• Assist clients with basic hygiene and grooming duties to promote adequate self-care

• Do routine housekeeping chores including cooking and cleaning duties that the client is otherwise unable to do for themselves

• Transport clients to medical appointments, errands, and other necessary locations

• Ensure proper medications are dispensed and required exercises are completed, as directed by a medical professional

• Provide physical assistance such as help getting in and out of bed or walking with a walker to clients when required

• Maintain detailed records of the client’s activities and report any relevant changes to the Client Care Coordinator

• Forge a relationship with clients to provide a sense of companionship and actively listen to any concerns

Personal Care Attendant Requirements and Qualifications

• PCA / HHA Certification is preferred

• Ability to do physical activity and heavy lifting when required

• Compassionate attitude with the ability to establish beneficial relationships with clients

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to successfully interface with clients and other care professionals

• Keen attention to detail and the ability to maintain thorough client records
