About this role:

As an Outpatient Neurologist at Park City and Heber Valley Clinics, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. As the first outpatient neurologist in the Wasatch Back (Park City and the Heber Valley) you will work to establish a practice and bring general neurology care to the two neighboring communities.

You will have on-campus access to specialists in cardiology, pain management, orthopedic surgery (covering all subspecialties), PM&R, neurology rehabilitation, ENT, audiology, sleep, gastroenterology, endocrinology, concierge primary care, and psychiatry. You will also be part of the Intermountain Canyons Region Neurosciences Service Line, including in-person and tele-neurohospitalists, neuro critical care physicians, outpatient neurologists, neuro and spine PM&R physicians, neuro-psychologists and psychiatrists.

In this position you can anticipate:

  • Practicing at Park City Clinic in Park City, Utah and Heber Valley Specialty Clinic in Heber City, Utah
  • Four-days per week in clinic (split between the two locations; day off to be determined) and dedicated admin time
  • Standard clinic hours
  • No hospital call; covering after-hours call for your own patient panel
  • Subspecialty interest welcome
  • This position may include a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, stipend while in training, and student loan repayment when applicable. Affordable housing options also available in the near future.

What you'll bring:

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • Residency training in neurology
  • Board certification or eligibility in neurology
  • Active, unobstructed Utah and Idaho medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
  • Candidates requiring Visa sponsorship will be reviewed on an individual basis

The Heber Valley is a 45-minute drive to Salt Lake City, a 30-minute drive to Provo, and sits at ~5,600' elevation.

The Park City and Heber Valley areas currently has three world class resorts: Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, and The Canyons Resort.It was a venue for the 2002 Winter Olympics and continues to host the Sundance Film Festival, the Park City Music Festival, the Park City Jazz Festival, and Utah Symphony & Opera's Deer Valley Music Festival.

Year-round activities include snowmobiling, downhill and cross-country skiing, horseback riding, mountain biking, camping, boating, hot air ballooning, water sports, scuba diving, and more. In addition, unique area attractions include Swiss Days, the historic steam-driven Heber Valley Railroad, beautiful Cascade Springs and other scenic drives, three reservoirs, and three national forests/state parks within a ~45 minute drive.
