Position Description: CAMPGROUND HOSTS:This is a seasonal employment opportunity. Campground Hosts are assigned to a campground area and are responsible for managing the campground, providing unparalleled customer service to our guests, and servicing and maintaining the facilities and grounds.REQUIREMENTS:NOT ALLERGIC TO HORSES - HEAVY EQUESTRIAN AREASYOU MUST BRING EITHER AN RV OR CAMPER TRAILER TO LIVE IN. TENTS, YERTS, AND SOFT-SIDED POP-UP TRAILERS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.Have superior Customer Service SkillsBe able to defuse/de-escalate a tense situation between parties. Conflict resolution experience would be very helpful.Hosts need to be physically able to perform a series of tasks that require:walking the length of a campground,navigating natural terrain while using a handheld blower,bending over to regularly clean toilets,kneeling to scoop out ashes from a fire pit,leaning over to pick up litter and fallen branches,stretching above your arms above your head to clip vegetation,gripping and dragging a rakecarrying at least 30 lbs. of weight in a trash bag or barrel.Operate various landscaping tools including a shovel, rake, blower, clippers, and lawn mower.Have cash handling skills, including the ability to count back changeHave enough bookkeeping skills to be able to record and balance the cash vs. sales transactionsBe able to operate a computer and work with basic programs.Skills in credit card processing are preferred.Prior experience working with reservation systems is preferred.THE DUTIES:Prior to a guest's arrival, the Host prepares the facility, sites, and amenities for the clean, operable, and safe use. This entails cleaning, landscaping, inspection, and maintenance of the grounds, sites, restrooms, amenities, and additional facilities. During a guest's visit, a Host continues cleaning, landscaping, inspection, and maintenance and additionally collects fees, fulfills reservations, upholds rules, and sells approved items. When a guest leaves, the Host promptly attends to the site and makes it ready for the next guest. Additional duties and projects are assigned by managers.NOTE: Some of our campground locations are located in high elevation mountain ranges (from 6,000 ft to over 10,000 feet in altitude).
