Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

A Farm Family Territory Leader is responsible for driving profitable P&C growth in a designated territory. The role involves engaging in sales, service, and risk management activities to achieve profitability and growth goals, while providing technical and procedural advice to appointed distribution partners.

This role will market, manage, and expand all P&C lines of business insurance through select distribution partners, driving profit and premium to meet financial objectives. The role also partners with the Annuity Distribution team to achieve annuity production targets with the territory.

In partnership with the Regional Field Executive, P&C Distribution Territory Leader recommend product, pricing, marketing plans, and is the liaison for distribution partner experience to support achieving the goals of the territory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Expand Distribution:

  • Identify and target P&C distribution partnerships within the assigned territory, formalizing new relationships through a structured contracting and appointment process.

Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distribution partnersto align business objectives, enhance engagement, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Conduct partner visits and business review sessionsto assess progress, discuss performance trends, and strengthen collaboration.

Establish and Compete for Market Share:

  • Establishes the company as the preferred provider for agribusiness, and commercial lines products in the territory, while communicating product changes, company objectives to agency partners.

Business Planning:

  • Develops and implements strategic, data-driven business plans to achieve production and profitability goals, continuously monitoring KPIs to refine and optimize plans.
  • Lead the creation and execution of territory sales and marketing strategies to drive growth and profitability, ensuring alignment with underwriting standards and performance expectations.

Enhance Distribution Partner Experience & Effectiveness:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions, leveraging market insights to drive continuous improvement and enhance agency partner engagement.
  • Consult with field and internal partnersto define needs, develop business solutions, and provide industry insights, focusing on sales/marketing activities, risk management, and profitability.
  • Primary point of contact for all distribution partners within the assigned territory.

Company Representation:

  • Represents Farm Family at industry forums, conferences, and associations to elevate visibility and reinforce strategic alignment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Six to eight years of experience.
  • Working with P&C distribution partners in farm and ranch and/or commercial lines.
  • Experience partnering with product and underwriting departments to drive profitable growth.

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • The position is physically comfortable; essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting and temperature; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
  • A person in this position exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Ability for work related travel up to 40% of the time.
    • Must live in the state of Texas

Salary range is $96,186 - $144,000
