Job description

The Farmers Insurance Salem District Office is seeking a Business Insurance producer to help grow commercial insurance throughout our district. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed insurance professional who enjoys building relationships, generating new business, and creating long-term value through a growing book of business.

As a Business Insurance Producer, you'll build and manage your own commercial book while partnering with an established network of Farmers agents. Agents throughout the district can refer commercial opportunities to you, allowing you to collaborate on accounts, earn commission through shared business, and continue growing your own client portfolio. You'll also develop your own business through networking, referrals, and prospecting.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Build, manage, and grow your commercial insurance book of business.

Partner with Farmers agents to quote, write, and service commercial insurance accounts.

Develop relationships with local business owners and provide consultative insurance solutions.

Prospect for new commercial clients through referrals, networking, and business development.

Evaluate business risks and recommend appropriate coverage, including Business Owners Policies (BOP), Commercial Auto, Workers' Compensation, Umbrella, and other commercial products.






Requirements

Qualifications

Active Oregon Property & Casualty license required.

Commercial insurance sales experience preferred but not necessary

Strong communication, relationship-building, and sales skills.

Must meet Farmers appointment requirements, including a background check.
