Job description

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Audio Engineer Technician to join our team in Austin, Texas. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience and be comfortable using Midas X32 or Behringer X32 and Allen & Heath SQ Series Mixer. Knowledge and experience in regional Mexican music is a plus, and Spanish speaking bilingualism is also a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain audio equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, and amplifiers.
  • Set up, test, and troubleshoot audio systems for live events, performances, and recordings.
  • Monitor and adjust audio levels during performances to ensure high-quality sound output.
  • Collaborate with artists, performers, and event staff to ensure their audio needs are met.
  • Work with other audio engineers and technicians to coordinate and execute audio setups for events and performances.
  • Perform regular maintenance and calibration on audio equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of audio equipment and supplies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in audio engineering and equipment setup.
  • Must be comfortable using Midas X32 or Behringer X32 and Allen & Heath SQ Series Mixer.
  • Knowledge and experience in regional Mexican music is a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
  • Must be available for a full-time or on-call position.
  • Must be able to work 2-4 days per week, Thursday-Sunday.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to lift heavy equipment and work in a physically demanding environment.
