About The Position:

The Operations Support Specialist performs specialized operational, compliance, quality assurance, and administrative functions that support Credit Union operations, regulatory compliance, and member service delivery. This position requires independent judgment, analytical skills, and collaboration with internal departments, external vendors and business partners.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Administer and maintain company instant issue debit card portfolio, including inventory management, branch stock distribution, special-order requests, exception resolution, and ongoing card maintenance activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and revise operational procedures and documentation in collaboration with management and business units to ensure consistency, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Research and process legal requests and account inquiries, including subpoenas, summonses, government agency requests, verification of deposit requests, and other legal documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and confidentiality standards.
  • Coordinate and complete annual regulatory requirements, including unclaimed property reporting, IRS tax reporting, backup withholding administration, employee HSA enrollment, Safe Deposit Box escheatment, and other required annual projects.
  • Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and testing activities, including core processing system releases, operational software implementations, and process validation to ensure successful deployment and functionality.
  • Serve as a departmental resource and subject matter expert by providing guidance, training, and support to employees regarding operational processes, procedures, products, and services.
  • Administer and maintain member statement production and operational notices, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution, while supporting organizational communications and member notifications
  • Process incoming mail deposits and returned mail, ensuring timely handling, accurate recordkeeping, and compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in banking, credit union operations, financial services, or a related operational support role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, members, vendors, and external partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other business software systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-pacem dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Strong time management, adaptability, and continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to leverage available resources, navigate change, and contribute to operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of your job, you may regularly be required to sit and use a keyboard, multiple monitors, mouse, and telephone (including repetitive motions with hands, fingers, arms, etc.) for extended periods of time. You may also frequently be required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, bend, and kneel.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $20.19- $28.13 per hour
  • Compensation is dependent on experience
