Join us for an exciting new Mediterranean restaurant, located right by Little Island, and be a key player in crafting unforgettable culinary experiences for our guests.


Position Summary:


Runners at OfCorsica are essential to the flow of service, acting as the connection between the kitchen and the dining room. This role supports the guest experience by ensuring dishes are delivered accurately, promptly, and with attention to detail-always embodying the warmth and hospitality that defines the Mediterranean spirit. Runners are responsible for food presentation, timing, and table support to help ensure seamless service.


Tasks/Responsibilities:


  • Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen or bar to guests with efficiency and care

  • Ensure all items are presented properly, meet quality standards, and are delivered to the correct tables

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure timing, guest requests, and dietary modifications are executed correctly

  • Assist servers by monitoring tables for water refills, clearing plates, resetting tables, and anticipating guest needs

  • Maintain knowledge of the menu, including dish components, allergens, and appropriate table placement

  • Keep service stations stocked, clean, and organized throughout the shift

  • Assist in opening and closing duties as assigned, including setting up dining areas and breakdown of service stations

  • Support the team during busy service periods with flexibility and urgency

  • Follow all health and safety guidelines, including food handling and sanitation procedures

  • Represent OfCorsica's values and hospitality standards in all guest interactions


Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting preferred

  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork ethic

  • Ability to stay focused and organized in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Basic understanding of food handling and service etiquette

  • Ability to lift and carry trays, dishes, and supplies (up to 50 lbs), and stand/walk for the duration of shift

  • Flexible schedule including availability on nights, weekends, and holidays
