Job Description

  • Manage a portfolio of litigation matters from case evaluation through resolution
  • Develop and execute case strategy, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents
  • Prepare cases for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial
  • Represent clients in court, including arguing motions and examining witnesses
  • Collaborate with attorneys and litigation support staff on active matters
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding strategy, developments, risks, and next steps
  • Prioritize deadlines and manage multiple cases while delivering high-quality work product

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active Indiana law license in good standing
  • Kentucky licensure strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of civil litigation experience
  • Experience managing cases through discovery and trial preparation
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong oral advocacy and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a solid work ethic
  • Experience with financial institutions litigation is a plus
