What You'll Do
You'll work directly alongside our litigation team, playing a critical role in managing cases from intake through resolution. Your day-to-day will include:
  • Propounding and responding to discovery - drafting, serving, and tracking written discovery with precision
  • Managing litigation deadlines - deep knowledge of the rules of civil procedure, with zero tolerance for missed dates
  • Filing documents - e-filing and physical filing with courts, ensuring every submission is accurate and timely
  • Calendaring and organization - owning case calendars, deadline trackers, and docketing systems so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Collaborating closely with the litigation team - working side-by-side with attorneys and paralegals to push cases forward
  • Managing case data in platforms like Filevine, CasePeer, or Litify - keeping every matter clean and current
  • Noticing Deposition
What We're Looking For
  • Prior experience as a litigation assistant, legal assistant, or paralegal in a civil litigation environment
  • Solid working knowledge of California Rules of Civil Procedure (federal experience a plus)
  • Hands-on experience propounding and tracking written discovery
  • Proficiency with at least one legal case management platform: Filevine, CasePeer, or Litify
  • Exceptional organizational skills - you're the person who always knows what's due next
  • A proactive, team-first mindset and the drive to do the work right, every time
  • Spanish literacy a plus
