Position Title: Litigation Assistant
A fast-growing plaintiff-side personal injury law firm is seeking a Litigation Assistant to manage discovery throughout the litigation process. This role will prepare and respond to discovery, communicate directly with clients, confirm the accuracy of discovery responses, and ensure materials reach the attorney on time for review. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and experienced in plaintiff-side personal injury litigation, with the ability to manage detailed discovery work without sacrificing accuracy.
Salary Range: $20-$30 per hour
Litigation Assistant Responsibilities:
- Draft and respond to discovery in plaintiff-side personal injury matters
- Propound discovery and track all applicable response deadlines
- Communicate with clients to collect information and verify the accuracy of their responses
- Organize discovery materials within the electronic case file
- Ensure completed discovery is submitted to the attorney with sufficient time for review
- Coordinate with paralegals, legal secretaries, attorneys, and other litigation team members
- Support a team managing approximately 60-100 active cases
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow automated workflow notifications
- Use AI-supported tools to assist with drafting, document filing, and case organization
Litigation Assistant Requirements:
- At least three years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience
- Direct experience handling motor vehicle accident cases
- Demonstrated experience propounding and responding to discovery
- Strong client communication and information-gathering skills
- Ability to track multiple deadlines and competing priorities
- Exceptional organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Clear, direct, and professional communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to work on-site in Lawndale
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be considered
- Experience with Filevine is preferred
