Job description

SAIC is seeking a Cyber Instructors to provide support for cyber courses in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Our team is looking for someone interested in supporting cyber defense instruction. Are you interested in working with Linux, PowerShell, SIEM, and IDS tools? Are you looking for opportunities to work with various technologies such as hardware and cloud? Consider joining our amazing team at Little Rock Air Force Base. You will work with a team of talented and supportive professionals dedicated to teaching and enabling personnel defending our nation's critical systems.

These positions are contingent upon funding
Job Duties:

  • Provide direct on-site instructor support to develop and teach cyber operations courses throughout the year. 
  • Coach, teach, and assess students in compliance with Air Force curriculum while providing feedback and progress reports.
  • Make recommendations for updates and corrections to course material, software, and tools.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop new course material to include technical writing and virtual lab design.
  • Utilize a virtual cyber range during class instruction and communicate with range engineers as needed.

Required Education:

  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and zero (0) years related experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.

Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidates will have intermediate to advanced experience with two or more of the technical skills listed below.
  • Linux command line.
  • Windows PowerShell - ability to understand and write scripts.
  • Network traffic analysis - protocol analysis.
  • Host based analysis.
  • Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
  • Industrial Control Systems / Operational Technology (ICS/OT).
  • Cyber Threat Intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior training delivery and/or instructional design experience.
  • SIEM applications.
  • Cyber threats and vectors.
  • Intrusion analysis and frameworks (Diamond Model, intrusion kill chains, MITRE ATT&CK, etc.).
  • Incident response.
  • Cloud/virtualization.
  • Front-end development.
  • Containerization.
  • Developing labs.
  • Risk management and communicating risk.
  • Mission decomposition.
  • Working with control systems and corresponding hardware & software.

Clearance:

  • Candidate must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.Â
