Position Summary:

This position is responsible for packing frozen beef patties and other meat products into boxes or bags according to company specifications.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for packing frozen beef patties and other meat products into boxes or bags.
  • Ability to tolerate working in a 40-degree work environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand on a cement floor for 8 hours.
  • Able to perform tasks requiring action of muscles or groups of muscles such as walking and stooping.
  • Requires varying degrees of lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching for patties and overhead reaching.
  • Must be able to continuously perform simple manipulative/repetitive tasks such as packing single patties and stacks of patties.
  • Must be able to utilize both hands.
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast paced, repetitive work environment.
  • Ability to read a scale.
  • Possess basic mathematic skills.
  • Work effectively with others, both within and outside the department.
  • Follow safety rules, conduct rules, GMPS, Quality Standards and other regulations.

Machinery:

  • Conveyor, patty grouper, patty paper interleave, box machines.

Work Environment:

  • Temperature: The production floor is maintained at approximately 40 degrees F; in other areas, the temperature level is moderate. Freezer areas are zero degrees or colder.
  • Noise: When the incumbent goes on to the production floor, ear protection is required; in other areas, noise level is moderate.

Work Hours:

  • First shift hours are 6:00AM - 2:30PM.
  • Second shift hours are 2:20PM - 11:00PM.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours Monday through Sunday including overtime.
