We provide products to many national retailers, wholesalers, distributors,ย clubย and mass stores, as well as industrial accounts including other food manufacturers.

Job Summaryย 

The Machineย Operator IIย is responsible forย operatingย and maintainingย multiple machines or more technically advanced machineryย on or to the production line to ensure products are manufacturedย perย customer specifications. This role is ideal for someone that has prior experience operating production equipment and is ready to take on greater responsibility within the manufacturing process.ย 

Essential Duties and Responsibilties:ย 

  • Ensure that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards forย qualityย andย safety andย follow theย appropriate foodย safety requirements for an accident-free workplace.ย 
  • Setup machinery on production lines thatย maintainsย conformance to customer specifications, including proper application of ingredients/materials.ย 
  • Breakingย down machinery at end of shift if applicable to the production needsย 
  • Ensureย that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPโ€™s) are followed.ย 
  • Responsible for makingย any adjustments needed to run production efficiently.ย 
  • Accurately record any downtime of the line.ย 
  • Ensureย machinery isย maintainedย in a sanitary condition.ย 
  • Recommends measures to improve methods, equipment performance, and product quality.ย 
  • Followsย company policies, and GMPโ€™s in addition to performing housekeeping in the area.ย 
  • Responsible for the use of required PPE as per assigned duties.ย 
  • Must be able to follow verbal instructions from the Shift Supervisor.ย ย 
  • Must be detail-oriented and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.ย 
  • Notify management of any Food/People Safety or Food Quality concerns.ย 
  • Use handheld/iPad forย recordingย consumptionย of materialsย 
  • Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.ย 
  • Able to troubleshoot machineryย in a timely mannerย and notify the line supervisor of the troubleshooting process that was performedย in order toย resolveย issue.ย 
  • As needed, provide coverage for Machine Operator I &IIโ€™s during breaks, time off or absences.ย 

Required Qualifications:ย 

  • High school, GED, or equivalent.ย 

Essential Skills and Abilties:ย 

  • 18 monthsย of food manufacturing or packaging experience.ย 
  • Mustย be reliable and punctual.ย ย 
  • Ability to workย in a fast-paced environment.ย 
  • Ability to work overtime when scheduled.ย 
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of diverse individuals within the plant.ย 
  • Ability to read and write English.ย 
  • Ability to write and read standard information to fill out company documents.ย 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure including but not limited to pounds, ounces, and grams, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and temperatures.ย 
  • Ability to manage andย operateย multiple lines.ย ย 
  • Implement and adhere to necessary safety precautions.ย 

Work Environment:ย 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving equipment in the production area.
  • The work environment is hot. The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions when performing sanitation on equipment.ย 
  • Employees must be able to wear hearing protection.ย 

Pay and Benefitsย 

The following information is provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Compensation is based on experience, geographic locations, and other legally permitted factors. The hourly range is $18.50-20.00.ย This positionย mayย alsoย beย eligible for overtime payย and shiftย differentials.ย
