You're keeping operations moving - and helping shape the next generation of technicians.
If you're an experienced field service technician who thrives on solving real problems, owning your territory, and mentoring others - this role was built for you.
At WMH Solutions, senior technicians don't get stuck turning wrenches forever. They gain visibility, influence, and long-term career paths across service, parts, warranty, OEM programs, and leadership.
WMH Solutions is a 38+ year leader in material handling, supporting warehouses, manufacturing, and distribution operations across the Southeast. With 11 locations and 250+ professionals, we deliver forklift service, fleet maintenance, automation, and aftermarket solutions that keep industry moving.
We're an exclusive Linde Material Handling partner and a full-scale solutions provider - not just a dealership.
Here, your work matters. Your growth matters. And performance is recognized.
As a Senior Field Service Technician, you'll operate independently in a company-provided service van, delivering advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment across customer sites.
You'll also serve as a technical leader - mentoring junior technicians, setting quality standards, and helping drive operational excellence in the field.
This is not an entry-level role.
This is a career-track opportunity for technicians who want responsibility, autonomy, and growth.
What You'll Do
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment at customer locations
  • Perform preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and minimize breakdowns
  • Operate independently in a fully equipped company service van
  • Support warehouse, distribution, and manufacturing environments
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems
  • Execute first-time-right repairs
  • Perform inspections, safety checks, and scheduled service programs
  • Maintain fleet equipment to OEM and compliance standards
  • Train and support junior technicians
  • Share technical knowledge and best practices
  • Lead by example in safety, professionalism, and workmanship
  • Communicate findings and service recommendations clearly
  • Complete accurate service reports, work orders, and repair documentation
  • Follow OSHA regulations and safety standards

Who Thrives in This Role
  • 5+ years as a field service technician, heavy equipment mechanic, forklift technician, or industrial equipment technician
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working independently in the field
  • Valid driver's license
  • ASE certifications
  • Forklift or OEM certifications
  • Dealer or industrial service experience
  • Familiarity with diagnostic software and digital service platforms

You'll also bring:
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Customer-facing communication skills
  • Leadership mindset
  • Pride in your work

  • Field-based role across varied job sites
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Standing, bending, kneeling, and working in diverse weather conditions
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and industrial environments

What WMH Offers
  • Competitive pay + performance incentives

  • 100% paid travel time (no flat rate)

  • Company van, fuel card, tablet, PPE & safety shoe allowance

  • Quarterly tool allowance

  • Uniforms provided and laundered weekly

  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance (HSA & PPO options)

  • 401(k) with up to 9% match + profit sharing

  • OEM certifications & technical training

  • Leadership development & mentorship

  • PTO + paid holidays

  • Long-term career stability in a growing industry

Many WMH leaders started in technician roles.
Future paths include:
  • Lead Technician
  • Service Management
  • Parts or Warranty Leadership
  • OEM Program Support
  • Operations & Regional Leadership

It's a launchpad.
If you're ready for more ownership, better support, and a company that invests in your future - we'd like to talk.
