Description
The senior Associate will manage and/or support the work of 2 or more team members, is an experienced project manager, is involved in relevant (local) office decisions, and is seen as a leader in their respective office. Role has an emphasis on team building, client satisfaction, and project management and profitability. The senior associate shows a passion for lighting design and a belief in HLB's Corporate Culture. Will participate in the base of leadership from which HLB will sustain and grow. Position is 70% manager, 30% leader.
Responsibilities
Achieving Results - Project Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for monthly invoicing and timely response to fee drafts and collections issues
  • Negotiates additional services / scope modifications as required
  • Develops technical skills appropriate to area of expertise and continually improves skills and knowledge through supplemental education, seminars, et
  • Deep knowledge of budgets, project structure, and project financials.
  • Requires minimal supervision from Principals
  • Responsible for full delivery of a project from start to finish with team / ownership of all associated tasks - produces and oversees.
  • Manages the team to produce work efficiently and profitably on increasingly larger projects
  • Reviewing RFP (Request for Proposal) and RFQ (Request for Qualification) documents and preparing response packages including drafts of fee proposals, business bios, project descriptions
  • Creating labor hour budgets for projects relative to work they have generated or as needed
  • Works with principals on project load and billings projections.
  • Builds and/or contributes to a specialized studio in a specific lighting project type or application (i.e. Practice Leader Group - PLG)

  • IALD professional level or is endeavoring to obtain
  • Participate in industry related professional organizations locally

Appropriate travel documentation for US air travel (air travel may not be expected if there are medical reasons, etc).
Compensation
$112,000 to $123,800
The final agreed upon compensation is based on cost of living, individual education, qualifications, and experience.
