Job description

Behavioral Health Technician - PRN

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Solutions (LBHS) offers a full continuum of care, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, residential treatment, psychiatric services, and medication-assisted treatment. Position: Behavioral Health Technician - PRN

Job Summary: Supporting individuals in recovery with day-to-day tasks and collaborating with various departments to promote a supportive and effective recovery environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide support, guidance and monitoring to individuals in Residential treatment.
  • Monitor client progress and ensure adherence to program guidelines.
  • Completes billing and documentation accurately in a timely manner.
  • Participation in community activities best represents the professional image of Lighthouse.
  • Keep well documented notes and communicate daily shift notes with Behavioral Health Technician Lead, clinical, and medical teams as needed.
  • The Behavioral Health Technician will serve as a role model, act as a mentor, advocate, and motivator.
  • Establish rapport with clients, work with a diverse population, verbally de-escalate crisis, maintain the confidentiality of protected and sensitive information, develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, family members, social service agencies, and other job-related contacts.
  • Must be able to function with a high degree of problem-solving skills. According to client needs, the client care advocate is expected to prioritize, self-direct, and organize daily activities.
  • Accountable for effective care coordination and communicates effectively and clearly with internal and community treatment teams.
  • Assist with facility management including coordinating and serving meals and housekeeping duties.
  • Participate in clinical treatment activities and ensuring activities comply with the provisions of HIPAA and 42 CFR.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience/Certifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma/ G.E.D
  • Previous experience as a client advocate, PCA, or similar position.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Records systems
  • Must pass BCI check, all Corporate Compliance checks, and employment drug
  • Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and access to a reliable personal vehicle
  • Age 25 years or older

Desired Experience/Certifications:

  • CDCA
  • Serve Safe Certification

Schedule: PRN, 1st shift 7am - 7:30pm or 3rd shift 7pm - 7:30am

Compensation: $17.00 - $24.81/hr

Location: 4000 E Main St Whitehall, OH 43213
