Job description

HD Fowler Company is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join the team at our Bellevue, Washington branch location. You will be responsible for oversight of all warehouse operations. What you will do:

  • Provide primary oversight of all warehouse day-to-day tasks including staffing, employee relations, scheduling and managing employee hours, supervision and development of warehouse staff, managing inventory, conducting root cause analysis of inventory issues and accountability for all warehouse-related metrics.
  • Proactively collaborate with other departments and provide great internal/external customer service.
  • Set up and maintain a solid infrastructure in the warehouse through hiring, development, and cross training of team members.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA safety rules and regulations along with good housekeeping practices by setting a consistent example for and clear standards of safety in the warehouse.
  • Work “hands on” in the warehouse
  • Foster staff development and growth; mentor and train warehouse employees, as well as assist customers, on products and order writing processes.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Who we are looking for:

  • Experience in warehouse operations and management with experience in the waterworks, irrigation, pumps and/or construction industry a plus.
  • Experience in inside sales and estimation within the underground utilities industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of current FMCSA/DOT vehicle operation standards.
  • Knowledge of or ability to obtain necessary OSHA certifications in lift operations strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of our order-writing process, known caveats, products, and training.
  • Able to coordinate, motivate, manage and develop a team both inside and outside the branch.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite -- Excel, Word and Outlook strongly preferred.
  • Proven skills in leadership strongly preferred.
  • Competitive, self-starter who is both ambitious and works well in a team environment.
  • Career driven and passionate about staff development and overall team health.
  • Highly organized multitasker with an eye for detail.
  • Able to work overtime when necessary.
