Job Overview
Anchor Sign is hiring a Conceptual Project Designer for their Charleston, SC office. This candidate will be working in a team environment and be responsible for a portfolio of clients like The Home Depot, Amazon, Chick-fil-A, Dollar Tree and TJ Maxx to name a few. The perfect candidate should enjoy recreating design drawings from photos and/or CAD type programs to illustrate the allowable signage within a conceptual 2D drawing. In addition to providing scaled representations of different elevations, manufacturing detail will be included so a basic understanding of general materials is a plus. The candidate will work with internal account managers, permitting coordinators or even our installation managers to properly represent a sign's scale on a structure. They will be completing various task related to sign design under the direction of their immediate supervisor. This is an intermediate level position looking for someone with 2+ years of experience. This position will be working in our Charleston, SC office and is NOT A REMOTE POSITION.
Salary: $40,000/year
Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to understand project goals and requirements.
Create detailed designs using software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Rhinoceros 3D.
Develop 2D and some 3D models, including mechanical designs and interior layouts.
Produce high-quality schematics and drafting documents for construction purposes.
Utilize graphic design skills to enhance presentations and project proposals.
Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure system design compatibility.
Conduct site visits as necessary to gather information for project development.
Maintain organized documentation of all design processes and revisions.
Qualifications
Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, or ArchiCAD.
Strong understanding of CAD principles and construction documentation.
Experience in graphic design, interior design, or mechanical design is preferred.
Ability to create detailed schematics and perform accurate drafting tasks.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
A degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related field is preferred but not required.
Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.

Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will have prior technical and conceptual design experience working with building and/or landscape structures in a team environment. Experience with Illustrator or Corel DRAW is required. However, industry specific training will be provided to qualified designers with the skills and experience necessary for success.
Specifically:
  • Manage customized client project designs with a focus on maintaining the highest level of detail and quality to protect client's brand identities.
  • Coordinate communication within the project management team by overseeing both site and project specific details.
  • Review final renderings to ensure product meets the stringent Anchor quality standards expected by both the manufacturing team and clients.
  • A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.
