Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative team specializing in LiDAR-based solutions and perception software. You will play a pivotal role in developing, optimizing, and deploying cutting-edge perception algorithms and software on edge AI platforms like NVIDIA Jetson. This position requires a solid understanding of machine learning, embedded Linux environments, and autonomous driving technologies.

  • Design, develop, and optimize LiDAR-based perception software solutions for autonomous driving and other advanced applications.
  • Implement and fine-tune machine learning models for object detection, tracking, and classification.
  • Utilize edge AI platforms, such as NVIDIA Jetson, to deploy and test real-time perception software.
  • Develop and maintain software in Linux environments, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, system architects, and product managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Conduct software profiling, debugging, and optimization for efficient resource utilization.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in autonomous driving, LiDAR technologies, and edge AI platforms.
  • Identify customer requirements and translate them into software engineering specifications; deliver software solutions to address customer challenges.

What qualifications and skills will make you succeed in this role?
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of work experience with in software engineering, focusing on autonomous driving, robotics, or similar domains.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C++, Python, or similar.
  • Strong experience with Linux development and debugging tools.
  • Solid understanding of sensor fusion, and perception algorithms.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) or similar robotics frameworks preferred.
  • Knowledge of real-time systems and embedded software development preferred.
  • Understanding of SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) and path planning algorithms preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Jetson or other edge AI hardware platforms preferred.

$100,000-$200,000
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, annual base salary for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Seyond. You may also be eligible for the sales incentive plan and equity.
