Job description

Wevalueintegrityandclearcommunicationwithourpartners,andappreciateyourunderstandinginthismatter.

The role, at a glance:

Biamp is bringing a SaaS web application in-house from a third-party development partner, and we're hiring a DevOps Engineer to lead the technical side of that transition. You'll migrate the build and deployment pipelines from GitHub Actions to our internal Bitbucket and Jenkins environment, then own the resulting CI/CD infrastructure and 24x7 production operations going forward.

This is a high-leverage role: you'll set the patterns that govern how our Software Operations team runs this platform for years, and you'll do it with executive visibility because the in-sourcing itself is a strategic initiative.

How you'll contribute:

  • Lead the migration. Move build and deployment pipelines from GitHub Actions to Bitbucket and Jenkins with a clear cutover plan, validation gates, and rollback path. Capture institutional knowledge from the outgoing partner along the way.

  • Own CI/CD. Architect and maintain the Jenkins pipelines, shared libraries, and supporting tooling that the development teams rely on every day. Continuously cut build and deployment times.

  • Run production. Take responsibility for 24x7 availability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response. Define SLOs and SLIs, drive incidents to resolution, and reduce toil through automation.

  • Manage cloud infrastructure as code. Stand up and evolve the underlying cloud infrastructure using Terraform (or equivalent IaC), with consistent, repeatable, reviewable changes.

  • Keep us secure and compliant. Build pipelines and artifact-management practices that hold up under our security and regulatory commitments, including secure build, signing, and provenance.

  • Plan for failure. Maintain disaster-recovery and business-continuity plans, run DR drills, and meet defined RTO and RPO targets.

  • Partner with developers. Work directly with the application teams to shape a workflow that's fast and pleasant to use, and document it well enough that newcomers can self-serve.

A successful candidate should have:

  • 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or a closely related role, including production responsibility for a SaaS application.

  • Hands-on experience with both GitHub Actions and Jenkins pipelines - enough to confidently translate workflows from one to the other.

  • Strong Jenkins fundamentals: pipeline-as-code (Jenkinsfile), shared libraries, and the plugin ecosystem.

  • Comfort with Git workflows and repository management across GitHub and Bitbucket.

  • Working knowledge of a major cloud platform (AWS or Azure) across compute, storage, networking, and managed services.

  • Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or similar.

  • Solid scripting in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or comparable.

  • Experience deploying .NET applications (MSBuild, NuGet, IIS or Kestrel).

  • Working knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana.

  • Track record on an on-call rotation, including running or contributing to incident response.

  • Clear written and verbal communication - you'll be working closely with both internal teams and an outgoing third-party partner.

Some nice-to-haves:
  • Familiarity with JFrog Artifactory, JFrog Xray, or JFrog Advanced Security.

  • Experience with SonarQube or comparable code-quality tooling.

  • Exposure to NIST SSDF, EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), SOC 2, or similar frameworks.

  • Prior experience moving a product from third-party management to in-house operations.

  • Configuration management with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

  • Application security tooling (OWASP, SAST/DAST, vulnerability scanning).

  • Database and data-migration experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).

  • Log aggregation and analysis (ELK, Splunk).

  • CDN configuration, feature flags, or progressive delivery.

  • AWS or Azure certification.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience is fine.

What we offer:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision

  • 3 weeks annual PTO and 9 paid holidays

  • 401(k) + matching

  • Employer-paid base life insurance, short, and long-term disability

  • Health savings accounts (with Biamp contribution) and flexible spending accounts

  • Tuition reimbursement

  • Charitable donation matching

  • Discretionary company achievement bonus

  • Referral bonuses
