a.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Required:
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย 1.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  High school graduation or its equivalent.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย 2.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Some office or library clerical experience.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย 3.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to speak and write effectively; research and retrieve information using computer technology; work independently; work calmly and accurately under pressure and with frequent interruptions; establish and maintain cooperative relationships.
b.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Desirable:
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย 1.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Certificate of Proficiency in Library Technology or courses in library technology from a community college.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย 2.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Some experience in working with groups of children/young people.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย 3.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Knowledge of library mediaย  systems and practices including the care and operation of instructional media and equipment; children's/young people's literature and the basic curriculum; use of technology in searching and using information which may include computers, CD-ROM, video and telecommunications.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย 4.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Keyboarding ability.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย 5.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to communicate verbally in Spanish.
