Job description

DCS Contracting, Inc. is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our Marketing team!

This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and excited to play an important part in helping DCS pursue and win work through strong marketing, proposal, and business development support. You'll support a mix of marketing, proposals, CRM tracking, business development coordination, events, and follow-up that helps DCS stay organized, prepared, and competitive as we continue to grow.

About the Role

The Marketing Coordinator helps connect the details across proposals, client information, marketing materials, events, CRM updates, and follow-ups so our team can stay organized and prepared.

This is not a task-based role. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, follows through, pays attention to detail, and wants to grow their career over time.

What You'll Do

Proposal & Pursuit Support

You'll assist with the coordination and production of SOQs, proposals, interview materials, and presentations. This includes helping track deadlines, organize RFP/RFQ documents, gather resumes and project information, complete basic edits and formatting, and maintain proposal templates, checklists, and processes.

Marketing & Branding Support

You'll help coordinate marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, project sheets, signage, branded assets, and other company materials. You'll also help organize photos, logos, media libraries, and project content, and may assist with social media scheduling, website updates, and digital content coordination.

CRM Support

You'll help maintain our CRM system with accurate client contacts, pursuit information, opportunities, follow-up activities, and notes. You'll also support the BD team by helping track leads, research clients and upcoming opportunities, prepare meeting materials, and keep follow-ups documented.

Events & Company Engagement

You'll assist with planning and coordinating industry events, conferences, career fairs, client functions, lunch & learns, trainings, and internal company events. This may include scheduling, preparing materials, helping with logistics, and supporting DCS's overall presence at events.

Process & Administrative Support

You'll help keep marketing and BD files, workflows, templates, and processes organized. This includes coordinating across departments, gathering information, keeping tasks on track, and supporting improvements to our marketing and proposal processes.

What We're Looking For

The right person for this role is someone who:

  • Is highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Can manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and moving pieces at once
  • Takes ownership and follows through without needing constant direction
  • Communicates clearly and professionally
  • Enjoys working with different departments and personalities
  • Has a proactive mindset and looks for ways to help
  • Wants to learn and grow within marketing, proposals, and business development
  • Understands the importance of accuracy, consistency, and deadlines

Experience & Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, business development, proposal support, or administrative coordination
  • AEC, construction, or heavy civil construction industry experience is a plus
  • Experience with proposals, CRM systems, events, or marketing coordination is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Experience with Unanet or a similar CRM system is a plus

Why Join DCS?

At DCS, we move fast, work hard, and take pride in doing things the right way. We are a heavy civil construction company with a strong team culture, a field-first mindset, and a lot of opportunity for someone who wants to learn, contribute, and grow.
