This position develops and maintains Quality systems used for the production of Thermoplastic Polyurethane and Polycarbonate films and sheets that meet internal Quality standards and Customer requirements. This includes supporting local / global Quality objectives, ensuring the effectiveness of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System at the Covestro South Deerfield Site and improving Quality outcomes using structured problem solving tools to investigate and address Quality problems, issues and opportunities.**Major Tasks and Responsibilities*** **Safety**: Understands and demonstrates the site's incident workplace culture. Manages minor safety related improvement projects and participates on site safety teams. Capable of Management of Change activities for simple changes.* **Regional Technical Product Management**: Supports NA RTPM responsibilities aligned with Global TPM. Creates and completes PPAP (assemble document packet) and maintains PPAP library. Supports specifications for raw materials, packaging and films. Creates and maintains standard film specifications and PLM related activities. Supports medical testing and basic IMDS requests. Supports SAC tracking in JTS (post new material set up process - not linked to SAC approval). Prepares and submits Oekotex samples and documentation. Maintains RTPM and QA SharePoint sites.* **Quality Management System**: Supports SDF Quality Management System for ISO 9001:2015 certification and alignment with Global IMS. Serves on Self-Assessment team to meet annual Compliance requirements. Maintains / updates existing Quality documentation. Supports QMS processes (Calibration, DCR, NCMR, MRB, Supplier Management (raw materials), etc.) and suggests improvements. Supports requests for Customer specifications, PPAP, Quality Survey and other Customer documentation.* **Technical Support**: Provides day to day support to the Internal Customer (Production, Engineering, GQM, GTPM, CO/OM, MM, Innovation) to ensure Quality outcomes at site. Evaluates Quality outcomes on standard issues and suggests improvements. May provide work direction to Quality Technicians, Production employees or Process Technicians in making quality related decisions. Maintains and updates Quality documentation (raw material specifications, Production Record Reports, Quality SOP/Work Instructions, etc.) and materials for Quality training activities. Participates in Quality training and supports process and product development trials. Provides engineering support to simple projects across product lines.* **Continuous Improvement**: Possesses a continuous improvement mindset. Leads smaller continuous improvement teams / efforts at the site. Utilizes CI tools in both project and daily work to meet customer expectations. Generates Quality KPI data as assigned and supports data analysis. Learns / Applies statistical analysis to determine process and product capability.* **Business Support**: Applies basic business and economic principles in daily / project work.
