Job description

The Packaging Label Tech II ensures the quality and consistency of our state-regulated compliance labels. This role controls the data entry, label submission, and printing of all labels and stickers as needed for all SKUs packaged within the facility. Additionally, the Packaging Label Tech II contributes to the growth and development of Tech I employees, offering guidance and setting an example for peers. Opportunities for growth and skill development are integral to this role, with clear pathways for career progression and required training.


Essential Duties and Other Duties as Assigned

  • Data entry of batch information for compliance review.
  • Prepare and proofread labels before compliance submission.
  • Maintain and build a packaging file library of all created sticker files.
  • Participate in quality control checks and help identify defects or compliance issues.
  • Control printer operations and perform minor trouble shooting.
  • Collaborate closely with Tech III and Packaging Leads to ensure label quality.
  • Work with manager on occasional label creation for R&D products.
  • Successfully executes a large volume of submissions and printing of multiple days production within one shift with minimal oversight.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production setting preferred.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Effective time-management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining product quality.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age (as per legal requirements).
  • Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.
  • Reliable transportation


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
  • The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly.
  • The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time.
