Job description

The ideal candidate for the Food and Beverage Director position will possess extensive experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar and events environment, showcasing a creative and tech-savvy approach to enhancing guest experiences. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing effective marketing strategies to promote the restaurant within the local community while attracting golfers enjoying the course. Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills are essential for driving engagement, optimizing operations, and increasing visibility within the market.

Essential Job Functions:  

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, counsel and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand and hotel standards and consistent with TKo values.   

  • Monitor team’s performance to ensure adherence to all service, sanitation and productivity standards to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction. 

  • Monitor and contribute to the control of food & beverage inventories. 

  • Ensure that all liquor inventories are done promptly and correctly for each EOM 

  • Order all liquor for the restaurant, bar & banquets

  • Maintain inventories of related food & beverage equipment. 

  • Monitor and contribute to the control of labor costs. 

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation levels to Health Department required ratings at all times. 

  • Organize multiple projects; manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 

  • Monitor and forecast food & beverage revenues and expenses to ensure company goals are met on a monthly and yearly basis. 

  • Organize deep cleans multiple times a year. 

  • Implement new menu items that will increase customer satisfaction and perception of value as well as policies and procedures for food and beverage. 

  • Contribute to the development and execution of promotions and events. 

  • Contribute to developing and managing the annual food & beverage budget. 

  • Contribute to the creation and distribution of daily/weekly/monthly reporting. 

  • Lead all food and beverage meetings. 

  • Contribute to help assist in banquets.

  • Implement and monitor ordering and receiving program to ensure proper quantity and prices on all purchases. 

  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards. 

  • Perform other duties as requested by management 

  • Minimum of 3 years of Food & Beverage manager and or Director experience in similar size restaurant/bar & event space. 

  • IT knowledge required including AV, Sound and troubleshooting. 

  • Must have strong organizational, time management and mathematical skills. 

  • Microsoft Office experience mandatory. 

  • Strong knowledge of POS systems  

  • Banquet and Event experience a plus. 

  • Social Media acumen highly preferred, primarily to contribute to content library. 

  • Can communicate well with guests.  

  • Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.  

  • Must have knowledge of departmental operations.  

  • Must have knowledge of computers and training techniques.  

  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. 

  • Must have knowledge of business law; federal, state and local taxes; and Department of Labor regulations.  

  • Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations and in making sound decisions.  

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and cordial behavior 

  • Flexible working hours to include holidays, weekends and nights (closing shift). 

  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling and/or crouching. 

  • Command of the English language, written and verbal
