Requirements:

Do you enjoy working with the public and working collaboratively? Are you someone who has a passion for creating fun and memorable library experiences? We're seeking a proactive and dynamic team player to join our Public Services team and help us grow and expand our already robust lineup of programming. Successful candidates will be well organized, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy providing service at the level of WOW!

Primary Duties Include:

• Works collaboratively to curate a strong line-up of presenter-led programming.

• Develops and facilitates library services and adult programming by contracting external presenters and performers.

• Assists customers at busy public service points within the Library with reference, reader’s advisory, and electronic resources.

• Tracks and processes attendance data and evaluates program outcomes to inform future programming decisions.

• Stays informed on current and emerging programming trends to enhance offerings and customer experience.


Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent level of experience required

• 2 years of related public library experience preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent planning skills, attention to detail, and time management skills

• Ability to use and troubleshoot building technology such as computers, AV systems, and assistive devices


Position Details:

Full Time or Part Time: Part time with limited benefits (non-exempt)

Hours: Up to 19 hours per week not to exceed 1,000 hours per year, including nights and weekends

Salary: $21.73 to $25.56/hour (midpoint); internal equity is used in determining the rate of pay
