Primary Purpose:

The Assistant Technical Designer is responsible for assisting the design team in all aspects of the design process and provide support as needed. They will be responsible for working with Design, Product Development, & Merchandising teams to meet deadlines for creating and passing product specs for all stages of development - concept through production.

  • Responsible for working with the Design, PD, and Merchandising teams to understand deliverables and meet deadlines for creating and passing product specs for all stages of development - concept through production. These deadlines may fluctuate due to timing and include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Proto rounds - work collaboratively with thedesignerto ensure that all specs created reflect the intentions of that designer. Ensure accuracy of all information captured in specs by self-checking sketches & dimensions.
  • Final Bulk Pass Off -AssistTech Designer & Sr Tech Designerinexecuting finalproduct spec updates and corrections for that season, ensuring that any and all changes to the product after market are approved by the design team.
  • Assist inmaking sure that product specs are consistent across all factories and all seasons.
  • Assist in the review and correction of post-market samples.
  • Assist in the creation & maintenance of digital Design detail & standards libraries
  • Assist in research of product functionality trends across market
  • Assist in CAD & artwork creation in Illustrator & Photoshop, as needed
  • Assist in presentation organization, set up, & clean up. Assist in Design workroom organization & maintenance.
