Job description

The Town of Charlton is looking for a Teen Services Assistant to join our Library Team. The Teen Services Assistant is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for teens that supports and enjoyable and enriching experience of the library and its resources. The hours are Monday - Saturday (varied hours with some evenings and Saturdays required). Work week is 19 hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree along with 2 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of automated circulation systems and information technology
• Knowledge of teen literature and current trends
• Proficiency with computers and digital devices
• Fluent with social media platforms and the internet
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work both independently as well as in a team setting.
• Ability to develop and implement creative and inventive teen programs
• Ability to operate library equipment
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to design and create dynamic promotional materials..
Hiring Pay Range: $21.88- $24.15 depending on education and experience. Full salary range through step progression is $21.88-$27.32
