Compensation Range:

$51,934.60 - $89,641.28

Position Summary:

Pay Rate:

Faculty members will be assigned to the appropriate salary grade based on the contract with the faculty union

  • Grade 2: Master's Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in field $51,934.60

  • Grade 2+: Master's Degree with 30 graduate semester hours in the field $54,594.23

  • Grade 1: PhD in major field $57,255.05

Up to four salary steps may be applied to the starting salary based on experience.

Hillsborough College's SouthShore Campus seeks a temporary full-time Librarian for a one-time appointment beginning August 13, 2026, and ending May 10, 2027.

Job Description:

This is a tenure-track faculty position for candidates who excel in teaching library orientations and supporting faculty and student research. The successful candidate will possess advanced information technology skills. We seek candidates who are committed to ongoing professional development, love of teaching and demonstrate enthusiasm for participating in campus and College committees.

Minimum Qualifications:

The position requires at least a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Library Science or in Information Science.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstratedinstructional experience at the post-secondary level.

  • Experience serving as a librarian in a college or university setting

  • Two to five years of professional experience in a business-related company, industry, or organization.

  • Professional or community affiliations in business/economics related associations.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends

  • Instructional knowledge ofor another learning management system

  • A commitment to students through exceptional teaching and learning.
