Job Summary
The University of North Georgia (UNG) is currently accepting applications for the position of Reference Services Librarian. This is a 12-month, full-time tenure track position. Position will require occasional travel between campuses.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, deliver, and market library instruction classes, workshops, and research consultations.
  • Create learning objects and instructional materials. Collaborate with faculty and committees in achieving information literacy learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with faculty and teaching staff in library instruction.
  • Conduct library collection development and management in assigned subject areas.
  • Provide reference, circulation, and general assistance for students, faculty, staff, and the community at the Dahlonega Campus Library and remote assistance as needed.
  • Participate in scholarship and professional development through publications, research, workshops, and webinar attendance, and/or presentations.
  • Represent the library and/or university at campus, local, state, regional, and/or national meetings and conferences.
  • Work with campus partners across multiple units through service on committees and/or holding office.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • At least two years of academic library experience preferred.
  • Background in classroom, online, or other library instruction is preferred.
  • Experience with library content management systems (e.g. Springshare) is preferred.
