About our Team

You'll be part of a team of engineers working closely together on sophisticated web applications, backend systems, data research, and data transformations. We do extensive research into LexisNexis public records data. We build and deploy systems to a diverse set of on prem and cloud based environments. We work as a team to solve problems, support our analysts, and provide critical services to our government clients.

About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of software components within a defined product area. You will collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to transform requirements into effective software solutions, support continuous improvement, and help deliver high-quality products that solve complex business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
  • Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
  • Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
  • Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
  • Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Resolve technical issues as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of new technology developments.
  • Complete bug fixes and all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Security Clearance: No active clearance required. Must be eligible for TS/SCI.
  • Minimum 3+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required Proficiency with data manipulation languages.
  • Proficiency with data manipulation languages.
  • Understanding of data modeling and data science principles.
  • Ability to work with very large data and complex data models.
  • Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net.
  • Familiarity of industry best practices - code coverage.
  • Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
  • Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Knowledge of data manipulation languages, data storage subsystems and test-driven development.
  • Ability to complete moderately complex bug fixes.
  • Good oral and written communications skills.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $78,800 - $131,300. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
