Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift | Victory Brewing - Parkesburg, PA
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the brewery, packaging, and restaurant equipment running at a world-class caliber, ensuring maximum production efficiency with minimum equipment downtime in a clean, safe environment. This includes preventative maintenance, daily trouble shooting, and commitment to continuous improvement of all machines and processes. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing work orders and performing preventive maintenance (PM) program tasks on shift, as well as daily routine service on brewing and packaging equipment in all areas of the facility.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Repair and maintain brewing, clarification, packaging, and plant utility equipment
  • Knowledge and aptitude to repair hydraulic and pneumatic components that include pumps, valves, cylinders, and compressors
  • Move, assemble, or install industrial machinery components such as shafting, bearings, gearboxes, motors, mechanical clutches, and conveyors by using hoists, pulleys, dollies, rollers, or fork trucks
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures in order to dismantle, overhaul, and assemble industrial machinery by using hand and power tools
  • Execute preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and unplanned corrective work
  • Keep accurate and complete records of repairs and preventative maintenance tasks as completed
  • Effectively diagnose control circuitry with wiring schematics and digital multi-meter to perform appropriate repairs
  • Perform in lock-out/tag-out procedures
  • Diagnose, repair, and overhaul process systems with conveyors, power transmission systems, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical devices
  • Repair process pumps, automated control valves and actuators with feedback sensors and positioners
  • Daily monitoring of boilers and chillers
  • Identify, propose, and discuss solutions for equipment and facility issues with management
  • Reactive maintenance on production lines to recover from component failure
  • Assist in keeping maintenance shop neat and organized
  • Utilize Microsoft Office 365 and a Computerized Management Maintenance System (CMMS) to perform daily duties

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • Military training or trade school certifications a plus
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Minimum three years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Available to work a steady 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 1:45pm-10:15pm
  • Available to work rolling, on-call weekend schedule
  • Industrial Electrical and Mechanical skill requirements include industrial experience with conveyors, power transmission systems, all related pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical devices used in process systems
  • An average competence level dealing with electrical systems, specifically, PLC's, controls, and automated production systems
  • Experience with automated manufacturing and packaging systems preferred
  • Experience with pumps, sanitary plumbing systems in a food production environment preferred
  • Experience with wastewater operations a plus
  • Rigging experience is a plus
  • Practiced in lock-out/tag-out programs
  • Knowledge of Siemens or Botec or Allen Bradley software is a plus
  • Basic understanding of refrigeration, chillers, boilers and steam and HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance and equipment reliability
  • Working knowledge and practice of NFPA 70E
  • Knowledge of DC and 3 phase AC circuits.
  • Work with a high degree of autonomy with minimal supervision to support production priorities
  • Positive can-do attitude and sense of urgency in performing duties
  • Work in a safe manner to ensure your safety and that of others are in accordance with OSHA and company policy
  • Expected to be on a rolling on-call weekend schedule, dependent on location

Physical Requirements
  • Candidate should be able to lift at least 55 lbs. from ground level and should also be able to move 165 lbs. of a kegged beverage from one location to another
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods of time and able to bend over, twist, climb, kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl
  • Occasionally work above grade, from ladders and lifts
  • Occasionally work below grade and in confined spaces (non-permit and permit)
  • Occasionally work outdoors, year-round, in a variety of temperature and weather conditions
  • Ability to use small hand tools, including wrenches and a small propane blow torch
  • Ability to use hands to perform fine manipulation, handle or feel, and must be able to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to identify product deficiencies (color, smell, taste). This requires having close, distance, color and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to climb and descend ladders, occasionally work at heights, as well as confined spaces
  • Ability to obtain the ABV Forklift Certification

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a damp, wet environment with hot liquids, airborne particles, chemicals and moving machinery. The noise level in the work environment can be very loud.
