The Legal Talent Intern is responsible for support of various legal talent functions, including research and data collection. This internship is part-time.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Legal Talent Intern will assist the Legal Talent team with various projects and initiatives, including:

  • Assist with CLE accreditation of external programs, working closely with colleagues in Business Development and Marketing, as well as external contacts at state bar associations.

  • Assist with the state bar renewal process, including updating state bar portals and submitting payment on behalf of the firm.

  • Assist with the firm's annual evaluation process, including compilation of performance summaries and preparing materials for practice group meetings.

  • Assist with team operations using tools such as Asana, iManage, and Sharepoint to maintain key department documents such as policies, rosters, intranet pages, presentations, and reports.

  • Participate in department and team meetings, calls, and training sessions. Through these experiences, Intern will gain valuable knowledge of legal talent management, business development practices and project management which can be applied across disciplines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to exercise sound independent judgment, tact, and discretion involving sensitive and confidential matters.

  • Demonstrates flexibility, initiative, and a positive attitude.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.

  • Data management/manipulation skills.

  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

  • Highly motivated, persuasive, priority-driven, and collaborative.

  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Current enrollment towards a Bachelor's degree or any combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates ability to perform the essential duties of the position.
