Role Description

20th century laws don't always solve 21st century problems, and GFiber Legal crafts innovative approaches for handling some of the toughest legal challenges of the information age.

As a Legal Operations Manager at GFiber, you'll work on optimizing the legal team’s efficiency through tooling and process improvements, while managing the day-to-day billing and legal support critical to keeping the company running smoothly. You'll be part of an innovative and business-driven group of in-house lawyers, contract managers, and paralegal staff. This role reports to the Head of Legal Operations.

In this role, you’ll:
  • Track, assess, and respond to and resolve all incoming consumer complaints filed with the FCC and State Attorneys General.
  • Manage legal billing process work flows and the billing platform.
  • Intake digital mail and distribute according to internal policies.
  • Maintain a single source of truth for all corporate entities and timely filings for entity annual reports.
  • Manage legal projects including tool selection and integration.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance the Legal Team’s efficiency.
  • M&A support including assisting with due diligence and maintaining data rooms.
  • Work with the General Counsel on other Legal Operations matters such as reporting metrics, presentations and trainings.
At a minimum, we would like you to have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in legal operations, M&A, or litigation.
It’s preferred that you have:
  • 3 years of experience within an in-house corporate legal environment.
  • Experience with anticipating needs, solving problems, and developing solutions.
  • Ability to tailor messages to the relevant audiences, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the broadband, telecommunications, cable, construction, or information/entertainment industries.
  • Experience with billing software and enforcing billing guidelines.
  • Experience with M&A transactions.
  • Experience managing litigation or Corporate Organizational tasks such as managing legal legal entities.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $78,000 - $114,000 + bonus + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
