Job description

Why Harvey

At Harvey, we’re transforming how legal and professional services operate. By combining frontier agentic AI, an enterprise-grade platform, and deep domain expertise, we’re reshaping how critical knowledge work gets done for decades to come.

This is a rare chance to help build a generational company at a true inflection point. We have strong product-market fit and world-class investor support. We’re scaling fast and defining a new category in real time. The work is ambitious, the bar is high, and the opportunity for growth — personal, professional, and financial — is unmatched.

Our team moves fast, takes ownership, and is deeply committed to the mission — operating with intensity, staying close to our customers, and pushing each other for excellence. We live by three values: Decisiveness, Simplicity, and Job's Not Finished. We act quickly on clear judgment over perfect information, we believe simplicity is what scales, and we're never satisfied with where we are. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who share that drive, we'd love to build with you.

At Harvey, the future of professional services is being written today — and we’re just getting started.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Legal Operations Project Manager to join our legal team to help modernize how Legal operates through both best-in-class legal operations practices and hands-on use of AI. By combining traditional legal ops experience with familiarity with AI tools and automation platforms, you will help turn operational problems into scalable, AI-enabled solutions. You will partner closely with Legal and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver on the Legal Ops roadmap and help ensure that Legal’s tooling, data, and processes support Harvey’s rapid growth. It is a unique opportunity to be a key contributor to an AI-native legal operations function inside a company that is itself defining the future of AI for legal work.

What You'll Do
  • Manage end-to-end legal operations projects, including gathering requirements, designing and improving workflows, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and managing implementation and iteration for areas such as intake, matter management, advice requests and policy changes

  • Translate priorities and direction into concrete project plans, timelines and execution steps, serving as the connective tissue between strategy and day-to-day delivery

  • Support AI enablement across Legal, including identifying use cases, evaluating and piloting AI tools (including Harvey), and helping with training and adoption efforts

  • Contribute to building and maintain legal metrics, dashboards and operational reporting across workload, turnaround times, risk patterns and operational performance

  • Support the evaluation, implementation, administration and continuous improvement of the legal technology stack and vendor relationships across knowledge management, matter tracking, e-billing and spend management, document management and contract-related tooling

  • Develop and maintain legal knowledge assets, including templates, playbooks, FAQs, self-service resources and internal documentation

  • Support routine operational, administrative, systems and data work as priorities evolve

What You Have
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in an operations or project management role, with responsibility for running and improving cross-functional systems, processes or programs; experience may come from legal operations, business operations, systems operations or a related function

  • Meaningful experience working in or closely with an in-house legal team, with a practical understanding of how Legal supports the business

  • A builder’s mindset: comfortable owning many moving pieces at once and energized by creating structure in a function that is still taking shape, rather than optimizing an established playbook

  • Experience contributing to the design and implementation of processes, systems and programs for Legal or other G&A functions, from requirements gathering through rollout and iteration

  • Comfortable working with both Legal and technical teams, helping turn business needs into practical process and system requirements, with experience or strong interest in applying AI tools in a legal or professional services setting

  • Comfortable operating with general guidance, seeking direction on new or unfamiliar issues, and balancing competing priorities and sustaining momentum in a globally distributed organization

  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with familiarity across legal technology (e.g. matter management, knowledge management, ticketing and document repositories) and experience building and interpreting metrics

Bonus Points
  • Hands-on experience with CLM or contracting systems

  • Practical experience building or deploying AI-driven workflows, with familiarity with agentic behavior, orchestration, prompt engineering, performance metrics and safety protocols

  • Experience helping design AI guidance, guardrails, or adoption programs for a legal or professional services team

Compensation

$99,200 - $148,800 USD
