What You'll Do

You will provide vital legal support for our US operations, focusing on the efficient execution of commercial agreements and contributing to our legal innovation roadmap. Working closely with our Head of Legal in the UK and our wider international legal team, you will help navigate the legal landscape of a high-growth environment. Your responsibilities include:

  • Commercial Contracting: Support the drafting, negotiation, and review of agreements (client contracts, vendor contracts, NDAs). You will work alongside senior team members to provide rapid, high-quality turnaround for our commercial teams.

  • Regulatory Compliance Support: Help advise the business on US financial services regulations, securities law, and data privacy. You will assist in ensuring consistency and compliance across our operations under the guidance of the global legal team.

  • Legal Advisory & Training: Assist in translating complex legal requirements into plain language for internal stakeholders. You will support the delivery of training to commercial and HR teams, helping balance risk with business opportunity.

  • Legal Innovation & Process Improvement: Assist in the evolution of our legal tech stack. You will play a key role in the day-to-day implementation of AI solutions and CLM tools to help streamline processes and enable business self-service.

What You'll Bring

Legal Qualification: From an accredited US law school and an active bar admission in Texas or another US state (or ability to obtain Texas bar admission).

Commercial Foundation: Developing experience in contract drafting and negotiation. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and eager to grow your commercial skills.

Regulatory Interest: A strong interest or foundational experience in financial services, securities law, and compliance frameworks. Familiarity with IP and data protection laws is a plus.

Innovation Mindset: A genuine enthusiasm for legal tech and automation. You are excited about using AI to reduce manual workloads.

Communication Skills: The ability to explain legal concepts clearly and a desire to learn how legal strategy enables sales and business velocity.

Organization: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Collaboration: A proactive team player who enjoys learning from others and building relationships across commercial, compliance, and technology teams.

Preferred Experience: Experience within a SaaS company, tech-first environment, or information services is highly regarded.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $145,000 base salary plus annual company bonus scheme dependent on individual and company performance.
