Job description

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Why this is a great opportunity

  • Join an A-V rated, nationally recognized firm with deep roots in creditor's rights and mortgage default law — a respected name in a specialized field
  • Work alongside experienced attorneys who handle complex foreclosure, bankruptcy, and real estate matters, building skills that are genuinely in demand
  • Gain real courtroom experience — you will be in front of judges, not just drafting behind a desk
  • Competitive compensation with performance-based bonus potential
  • Be part of a forward-thinking firm that invests in technology to improve outcomes and stay ahead of the curve

Location: This is a full-time, in-office role based in Alexandria, VA — ideal for attorneys who enjoy being close to the action, including court appearances.

Note: To be considered for an interview, candidates should have experience in creditor's rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, or real estate law. Candidates from in-house, solo practice, or traditional firm backgrounds are all welcome. Bar admission in VA required.

About us

We are a well-established, A-V rated law firm with a long-standing reputation for excellence in creditor's rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, evictions, litigation, and unsecured collections. Our firm has been recognized repeatedly for leadership and legal innovation, and we are proud members of USFN, ALFN, Legal League 100, MBA, and NARCA. In recent years, we have invested significantly in cutting-edge technology that enhances service delivery and keeps us ahead in a competitive marketplace. Confidential Employer.

Job description

  • Handle creditor's rights matters from intake through resolution, including debt collection, enforcement strategy, and creditor representation
  • Manage foreclosure proceedings end to end — draft and file documents, conduct sales, appear in court hearings
  • Navigate bankruptcy filings and proceedings on behalf of creditor clients
  • Support real estate transactions and related legal matters as part of a multifaceted practice
  • Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision and clarity
  • Attend and represent clients at court proceedings and administrative hearings
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy, legal research, and client communication
  • Track deadlines, manage files, and stay current on changes in state and federal law affecting the firm's practice areas

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active bar admission in VA in good standing
  • 1+ years of experience in creditor's rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, or real estate law preferred; strong candidates from other relevant backgrounds will be considered
  • Solid research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-moving environment
  • Comfortable with court appearances and client-facing work
  • In-house, solo practice, and law firm experience all considered

Why you will love working here

This is a firm where your work has real impact — you are representing clients in matters that move quickly and require sharp, decisive legal thinking. You will develop hands-on courtroom skills early, work alongside attorneys who know their specialty deeply, and be part of a firm that has built its reputation on innovation, advocacy, and results. If you want to grow in a specialized, in-demand area of law, this is where you build that career.
