We are a prestigious West Los Angeles personal injury trial law firm handling significant 7 and 8-figure cases, and we’re looking for a skilled Legal Assistant ready to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, high-profile environment.


What You'll Do


You will serve as an integral member of our litigation team, supporting attorneys from case intake through trial. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering meticulous legal support, and can manage a heavy caseload with strong organizational skills. Candidates must be able to handle a case from the filing of the Complaint all the way to trial. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Calendaring all case deadlines and events

• Formatting, proofreading, finalizing, serving, and filing legal documents, including Summons & Complaints, Motions, Briefs, Notices, and Subpoenas

• Interacting with clients to obtain information

• Preparing retainers, record authorizations, and record requests

• Providing a high level secretarial and administrative support

• Drafting correspondence

• Managing all case-related documents

• Updating all case-related data in Case Management program

Coordinating travel arrangements and scheduling of meetings



Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant working at a trial law firm performing the duties listed above

• Experience handling cases from intake and the filing of the Complaint through trial

• Strong working knowledge of the CCP, FRCP, and Evidence Code/Rules

• Excellent organizational and writing skills with exceptional attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to manage a heavy caseload in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Strong client rapport and communication skills

• Plaintiff’s litigation experience in California; resumes where litigation experience is not well documented will not be considered

• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred:

• Spanish speaking

• Experience with Litify and/or Milana case management platforms
