General Purpose: Plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the legal department. Maintain systems and procedures for operating efficiency. Manage staff for optimum performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Handle accelerated Garnishee and Court inquiries.
  • Handle accelerated account and action reviews.
  • Assist with assignment of responsibilities and tasks among legal staff.
  • Determine staffing needs and assist with hiring and training new staff.
  • Coordinate legal staff activities to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Supervise direct reporting staff according to overall company policy.
  • Set employee goals and objectives, participate in ongoing monitoring, and provide feedback including performance reviews.
  • Manage internal staff relations.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and discipline legal staff according to company goals and policies.
  • Implement procedures and training to maximize operating efficiency.
  • Prepare operational reports and analysis of activity, productivity, goal progress, and employee feedback to direct supervisor.
  • Define, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational effectiveness and employee performance. Interpret KPI data to identify trends, address performance gaps, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure KPIs are clearly communicated and aligned with business objectives.
  • Accurately document all meetings and communication involving staffing issues and concerns.
  • Monitor calls to verify that staff is appropriately and professionally responding to basic questions, is in compliance at all times, and is making every effort to collect required documentation and information for each account.
  • Monitor accounts for verification of accuracy and to verify that all procedures were completed fully with consideration for the actions and status of each account.
  • Enlist the efforts of administration when necessary to accelerate the Legal process.
  • Assist staff Leads with troubleshooting and processing complex accounts.
  • Communicate effectively with administration regarding department concerns, staffing issues, and complex accounts.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a safe and secure working environment.
  • Perform other coordination/management positions as referenced in separate Job Descriptions and as assigned.
  • Ensure security, integrity, compliance, and confidentiality of data.
  • Ensure that all tasks meet compliance standards.
  • Follow procedures and training to maximize accuracy and efficiency.
  • Serve as a resource person for advanced questions and work cooperatively with all team members to coordinate procedures, policies, and support.
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and work coverage during employee absences.
  • Report and coordinate primarily with Administration regarding work-related product.
  • Provide suggestions for changes and improvement.
  • All other duties as assigned.




QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Preferred 2 Years of Secondary Education
  • Management and Supervisory Experience and Knowledge of Management Practices and Procedures
  • Proficient in Relevant Computer Applications and Call Center Systems
  • Related Knowledge of Legal Principles and Methods
