Bilingual Legal Assistant

Compensation: Hourly

We are a fast-growing, boutique law firm focused on immigration, personal injury, and criminal law. We are hiring a Bilingual Paralegal/Legal Assistant in Atlanta, Georgia.

When our clients call us for help, they’re often going through an emotionally difficult period. We are looking for a rock star who is ready to learn.  Our Bilingual Paralegal/Legal Assistant will be able to hit the ground running with tailored training with the position and produce high volume of quality work with our clients. We provide our clients the ultimate customer service experience and will require attention to detail, responsiveness with client’s

Previous work experience as a paralegal/legal assistant is highly recommended but not mandatory. If you are looking for a short term job this is not the position for you. We are looking for someone that is dedicated to helping people and passionate about their career in the legal field that is looking for stability, if this is you then the position is perfect for you.

You must be an optimistic, positive person. Our office does not do well with toxic people or negative attitudes or whiners, complainers, gossipers, martyrs, or victims. You will not fit in here if you even think that you may fit into one of those categories of negative people.

We prefer people who are not afraid of computers or learning new things that will make their jobs easier. You must be able to handle working with several different databases of information. You must work with urgency and treat each new case with care. If you aren’t 100% confident managing data and people, you are not the right person for this job. You must be competent and proficient in the use of Google Docs, Gmail and Adobe, at a minimum. If you are familiar with legal case management software and Slack that is a plus.

We are fully invested in policies and procedures and systems. We believe in a team approach, where you can ask for help when you need it without fear of being judged. But, at times, you will also need to know how to figure things out on your own and be able to creatively solve problems and come up with solutions.   • Knowledge of office practices, procedures, machines and equipment;

  • Knowledge of correct English and Spanish language usage, spelling, punctuation and legal terminology;

  • Knowledge of the organization and composition of business letters, minutes, reports and numerical and tabular materials.

  • Most importantly, you need to have compassion when dealing with our clients. You will be the primary contact upon the hiring of the firm in regards to an individuals case. You will need to remain responsive at all times to client’s questions and concerns and provide updates as needed. Weekly status reports on cases will be provided to office management and ability to keep track of work and time will be essential to be successful in position. Your ability to listen to what you are being told and ask follow-up questions is very important. If you cannot listen, understand, evaluate, and work with a high volume of cases, this is not the job for you.
