We're Looking For:
We are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant who will report to the Senior Corporate Counsel. AFC's Legal Team prides itself on replicating that level of support for a wide variety of internal clients. AFC's Legal Department has a great opportunity for a sharp, motivated, fast-learning administrative professional. The successful candidate will provide daily support to multiple attorneys and legal administration assistance to field offices and corporate risk prevention personnel.
A day in the life of a Legal Administrative Assistant may include everything - processing reports and checks, preparing legal pleadings, scanning and copying, other general clerical work, account file reviews, and much more. All successful members of the legal department respond to others in a timely considerate manner, communicates clearly and concisely in person, on the phone and in writing, can quickly refocus despite repeated interruptions, invests in improving themselves and the department, and pays close attention to details. The ideal candidate will have one (1) to three (3) years of experience.

You Will:
  • Prepare legal documents and correspondence
  • Assemble and file court documents electronically
  • Maintain client files and contact information
  • Process collection payments on accounts
  • Analyze and report on loan documentation to assemble placement packets to send to law firms and advise on deficiencies for loan documentation
  • Gather all relevant documents and assemble document requests
  • Formulate dash boards and reports internally for legal reporting
  • Aggregate information from a variety of electronic sources for filing lawsuits
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Must Have's:
  • Associate's degree with a paralegal certificate and three (3) years of experience or Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience
  • Superior commitment to client service

  • Effective planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Excellent administrative, document preparation and proofreading skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
