The ideal candidate is self-motivated, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, outside sales environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and grow a defined sales territory by developing new business and expanding existing customer relationships within fleet, transportation, and logistics environments.
  • Proactively generate new accounts through cold calling, inbound leads, strategic sales campaigns, and in-person visits to customer sites.
  • Promote and sell refrigerated trailer rental and leasing solutions, educating customers on equipment capabilities, applications, and value.
  • Prepare and present accurate rental and lease quotes in a timely manner, coordinating closely with internal teams to ensure smooth reservations and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate customer, prospect, and sales activity data in the CRM system to support forecasting and performance tracking.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals, including maintaining a consistent level of outbound sales activity (calls, visits, follow-ups).
  • Support branch operations by performing digital trailer inspections before and after rentals to ensure equipment meets safety and maintenance standards.
  • Collaborate with service, rental, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term account success.
  • Represent Sonsray professionally in the field while managing time effectively in a fast-paced, outside sales environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support branch and operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and confidently engage customers in person and over the phone.
  • Self-starter mindset with strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet activity-based sales expectations in a goal-driven environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to perform digital equipment inspections, including accessing the interior and exterior of semi-trailers.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and occasionally to other Sonsray locations for training or special projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; relevant sales or industry experience will be considered.
