$310,000 – $390,000

A premier global law firm is seeking a Cyber, Data Privacy & Regulatory Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing leading technology companies, consumer brands, financial institutions, life sciences companies, and other innovative businesses in sophisticated privacy litigation and regulatory investigations.

Ideal Background

4–6 years of cybersecurity, privacy, data protection, regulatory investigations, or complex litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience defending clients in data privacy and cybersecurity litigation, including data breach class actions, consumer privacy claims, and unfair and deceptive trade practices litigation

• Experience handling matters involving the Stored Communications Act, wiretapping claims, consumer protection laws, and other privacy-related statutes

• Experience representing clients before state Attorneys General, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and other federal and state regulatory agencies

• Experience conducting or responding to regulatory investigations, civil investigative demands, and enforcement actions

• Experience advising clients regarding incident response, cybersecurity risk, privacy compliance, and regulatory strategy is a plus

• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, project management, and oral advocacy skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation and regulatory matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Strong technology fluency and excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
