Learning Resources Coordinator Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Description of Position Reporting directly to the Director of Academic Support & Learning Technologies, the Learning Resources Supervisor is responsible for the integrated daily operations of the library and tutoring within the Center for Learning and Innovation at the Verde Valley Campus. This position supervises all library and tutoring staff at the campus level, ensuring cohesive, high-quality services that support student academic success, persistence, and completion. The Learning Resources Supervisor analyzes, plans, coordinates, and promotes library and tutoring services and resources in alignment with college-wide priorities.

Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Personnel Management Supervises all Verde Valley library and tutoring staff, managing the daily operations of the library and tutoring within the Center for Learning and Innovation to ensure seamless, high-quality service delivery, with strategic direction and oversight from the Director of Academic Support & Learning Technologies. Manages personnel functions including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, delegation of work assignments, performance evaluation, and disciplinary action for all directly supervised staff, and monitors policies and procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. Serves as the campus-level point of contact for library and tutoring operations, resolving operational issues and communicating policies and procedures effectively.

Academic Support Services Staffs the information services desk as needed to ensure consistent service coverage and support for students, faculty, and staff. Monitors student academic support needs and tutoring demand, adjusting services and resources in collaboration with the Tutoring Specialist to ensure effective and responsive coverage. Provides orientations and tours to support student awareness of CLI resources and services, following the format and standards established by the Library Manager of Public Services.

Assists with the assessment, collection development, and maintenance of print and electronic library resources to support the college's district-wide environment. Participates in college-wide and academic support initiatives, projects, and committees as appropriate. Participates in the planning and delivery of outreach, displays, and programming to promote learning resources and support community engagement.

Technology & Innovation Support Maintains working knowledge of current and emerging technologies used in the Verde Valley Center for Learning and Innovation in order to effectively support students, staff, faculty, and patrons. Collaborates with ITS to provide campus-wide technology training and tier 1 technology support. Promotes and models the effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools among library and tutoring staff and students, staying current with emerging AI applications relevant to academic support services.

Provides orientation and support to students using the Fast Capture Studio podcasting space, including equipment setup, basic troubleshooting, and guidance on available features and resources. Coordinates and supports Virtual Reality (VR) classes held in the Center for Learning and Innovation, including preparing and maintaining headsets, coordinating logistics with faculty, and providing on-site technical support during class sessions. Budget and Reporting Monitors expenditures and ensures operations remain within the allocated budget provided by the Director of Academic Support & Learning Technologies.

Provides budget feedback and recommendations to the Director of Academic Support & Learning Technologies regarding library and tutoring needs. Collects, compiles, and prepares operational data and supporting documentation for proposals, assessments, and institutional reporting. Minimum Expectations & Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, Communications, or a related field, with relevant library experience.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience with direct reports, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, and personnel management. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Current knowledge of issues and trends in information, library technology, and academic support services. Demonstrated willingness and ability to work with, promote, and stay current with artificial intelligence (AI) tools and emerging technologies in an academic environment.

Demonstrated public speaking ability and comfort delivering presentations, orientations, and tours to individuals and groups of varying sizes. Demonstrated experience with data management, spreadsheet applications, and report generation. Strong customer service skills with ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Responsive and reliable in monitoring and replying to communications across all channels during business hours. Proficiency with learning technologies and willingness to learn new platforms.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.

Ability to appear in promotional videos, create promotional materials, and social media content to support outreach and student engagement initiatives. Ability to travel between campus locations as needed. Ability to wear a VR headset for an extended period of time.

Maintains regular, punctual attendance as an essential function of this position. Preferred Skills & Abilities Education: Master of Library Science (MLS) degree. Experience: Education and experience beyond the minimum qualifications with recent leadership experience in an integrated learning commons or academic support environment.

Recent experience in a community college or university library or academic support environment. Library consortium experience. Experience working in or coordinating a tutoring center, learning commons, or similar academic support environment.

Experience supporting or working with emerging technologies such as podcasting studios, virtual reality equipment, or similar academic technology. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated experience with or knowledge of artificial intelligence tools in an educational or professional setting. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and work effectively with diverse student populations.
