Job description

Overview

Salary Range: $109,853-$184,613

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional programs and ensuring successful end-to-end delivery aligned to business objectives by managing scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk. Acting as an Epic Owner, the role ensures full lifecycle governance from business request intake through DevOps tracking (Requests, Epics, Features, User Stories) to final delivery, while driving continuous improvement in cycle time, leveraging Agile methodologies, Azure DevOps, and modern tools including Copilot and automation. The role also requires strong stakeholder management, financial oversight, and leadership to enable high-performing teams and consistent value delivery.

Responsibilities

Epic Ownership & End-to-End Delivery Governance

  • Act as Epic Owner accountable for lifecycle from business request intake to delivery completion. Review and validate business requirements prior to DevOps intake. Create and manage Requests, Epics, and Features ensuring hierarchy and traceability. Ensure readiness for Product Owner and BSA to create User Stories. Track delivery from "Request Approved" to "Done" state. Drive cycle time improvements across the lifecycle. Compile and distribute meeting minutes to attendees and stakeholders as needed. Record time daily and follow up to ensure teams submit timesheets in DevOps.
Stakeholder Management
  • Act as primary point of contact across Business, IT, Product Owners, and BSAs. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and leadership. Provide visibility into project status, sprint progress, and milestones. Manage expectations across scope, schedule, cost, and quality. Ensure alignment of Epics and Features with business priorities. Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder impacts. Provide transparency through DevOps artifacts and dashboards. Escalate critical risks and decisions for timely resolution.
Project Execution & Delivery
  • Manage concurrent projects ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery. Leverage Azure DevOps for backlog and sprint management. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (daily sync, planning, review, retrospectives).
Reporting & Governance
  • Provide project progress and sprint status reports. Send sprint status reports after each sprint. Track and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies.
Financial Management
  • Create, update, maintain, and track project budgets. Monitor actuals vs. plan and provide financial insights.
Tools, DevOps & Innovation
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in Azure DevOps. Leverage Copilot and automation tools to improve efficiency. Drive adoption of modern tools and innovation.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
  • Coach teams on Azure DevOps and timely updates. Encourage a continuous learning mindset. Drive process improvements and capture lessons learned.
  • Travel to various Yusen offices for training and audit purposes and working in an office on a hybrid schedule.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of Core Project Management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and SDLC.
  • At least one industry acclaimed certification in Project Management. PMI's PMP/ ACP certification is desirable.
