ROLE OVERVIEW

The Operations Senior Training Associate ensures operational excellence by driving consistent standards, delivering impactful training programs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role blends Engineering principles with Learning & Development expertise to optimize processes, enhance workforce capability, and support business goals. The Operations Senior Training Associate partners with operations leaders across two buildings to implement continuous improvement tools, manage onboarding, and develop training strategies that improve productivity, quality, and safety.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Operational Standardization & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate cross-training plans to maximize workforce flexibility.
  • Develop and expand local capability in continuous improvement tools and structured problem solving
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrate resourcefulness in finding answers

Learning & Development

  • Design, develop, and deliver blended learning programs for new hires and existing employees, including onboarding and leadership development.
  • Facilitate instructor-led training sessions and train-the-trainer certifications for facilitators and site coordinators.
  • Create and maintain engaging training materials using instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
  • Manage Learning Management System (LMS) activities, including tracking, reporting, and compliance.
  • Measure training effectiveness through data analysis and feedback; implement improvements based on insights.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a team of Training Ambassadors and seasonal staff to execute training initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, HR, and Recruiting to ensure seamless onboarding and workforce readiness.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to align training and standardization efforts with business goals.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from hourly associates to senior leadership.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience), preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of Fanatics tenure and/or 5 years (minimum) of Distribution/Warehouse management.
    • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
    • Experience in instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Skills:
    • Bi-lingual (Spanish) Required
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning design tools (e.g., Articulate 360).
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK AND WHAT'S REQUIRED:

Working Conditions:

  • Warehouse environment: 70-80% of time spent on the floor.
  • Ability to stand for 6-8 hours and walk 5-10 miles per day.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule with occasional travel between buildings and up to 10% additional travel as needed.

Leadership and People Management Skills

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Experience in coaching and providing constructive feedback.

Training and Development Expertise

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Ability to create and deliver engaging training programs.

Process Improvement and Standardization

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions.

Change Management

  • Capability to manage transitions and communicate changes effectively.
  • Skilled in gaining buy-in from stakeholders during process updates.

Technical and Systems Knowledge

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Comfort with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, MicroStrategy) for reporting and analysis.

Problem-Solving and Decision-Making

  • Strong analytical thinking to resolve complex operational issues.
  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.

  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with on-site and remote teams.
  • Ability to present information clearly to different audiences (leaders, athletes, stakeholders).
